Pulpit in place

Thanks to a dozen or so volunteers who helped set the pulpit on its platform last night. And thanks to Drs. Prater and Lynch for constructing the base. They have also crafted some wonderful trim for the base and will build a matching staircase that comes up on the right side. To facilitate good sight lines for the balcony the pulpit will sit about 12 inches higher than in the old place. Because of the height of the new ceiling the proportions look just right - or so everyone seemed to think last night. Thanks also to Jeremy (an intern achitect) for working with Dr. Bill to design the base and stairs. We are truly blessed. Lastly, thanks to Chad for the pictures.
